Hotel of the week: Hilton Frankfurt Airport
A new breed of airport hotel is arriving in cities all over the world.
Frankfurt, Germany
A new breed of airport hotel is arriving in cities all over the world, said Karrie Jacobs in Travel + Leisure. Hilton’s new Frankfurt outpost sits atop a high-speed rail station, but easy access is only part of the appeal. Noting that far-flung business colleagues today like to gather at convenient hubs but want more than “cookie-cutter design” and a bed, Hilton has combined high-tech architecture with warm-touch contemporary furnishings and an in-house restaurant that specializes in culturally specific comfort foods. The result is the opposite of “one-world placelessness.”
