Hotel of the week: Feynan Lodge, Wadi Feynan, Jordan
Getting to the remote eco-lodge on the edge of the Dana Nature Reserve requires a a five-hour walk with a guide through the Wadi Dana gorge.
This 26-room eco-lodge may be the “ultimate desert retreat,” said Nicole Alper in National Geographic Traveler. Created by the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature, it sits on the edge of the “archaeologically rich” Dana Nature Reserve. Hidden in the arid mountains of Wadi Feynan, home chiefly to Bedouin nomads, the remote hotel isn’t easily accessible. Getting there requires a five-hour walk with a guide through the Wadi Dana gorge. But upon arrival you’ll feel as if you’ve discovered an oasis in a desert kingdom.Source: Feynan.com
