What group of people is more likely to engage in "helping behavior"? What percentage of Americans pay “very close” or “somewhat close” attention to political ads on television?
People who identify themselves as highly religious are more likely than those who are less religious to have engaged in “helping behavior” in the past month, according to a poll conducted in more than 140 countries. Highly religious people were more likely to donate to charity, for example, by a 43% to 28% margin in Europe, and by 39% to 28% in the Americas. Religious people were also more likely to help strangers.
54% of Americans say they pay “very close” or “somewhat close” attention to political ads on television. 31% say they don’t pay close attention to the ads, and 13% say they don’t pay any attention at all.
