The U.S. had requested an increase in production to ease the strain of higher energy costs, but Saudi Arabia Oil Minister Ali al-Naimi l said it was an “easy” call to keep levels unchanged. Oil demand is forecast to fall slightly as winter ends in the North and the U.S. economy slows. (Bloomberg)
