Because of the Times

Drawing on various influences, the Kings prove that the third time is the charm.

Kings of Leon has finally delivered its breakthrough album, said Timothy Finn in The Kansas City Star. The band members are also family members, three brothers and a cousin belonging to the Followill clan of Tennessee. After spending their childhoods living in a car with father/uncle Leon Followill, a defrocked Pentecostal minister, the boys gave up Jesus for rock music. With its third CD, Kings of Leon is telling its typical countrified stories on a larger scale, and the new album clearly was influenced by the Kings
