• Students at Northern Arizona University are being asked to check their “pee privilege.” New signs posted outside campus restrooms state that “the ability to undoubtedly know which bathroom to pick is a characteristic of pee privilege”—a reference to the ongoing debate over transgender bathroom access. Being able “to use a restroom without fear,” the sign reads, also constitutes pee privilege.
• An Arizona elementary school repeatedly served pork products to a Muslim secondgrader because she isn’t a “normal” Muslim. The student’s mother, identified only as Nancy, says the principal of Holaway Elementary told her the confusion stemmed from her daughter being a “white girl” who doesn’t wear “traditional clothes.” The local school board suggested that the child bring “a meal from home.” ■
