Colorful language, after researchers at the University of Roch ester found that people who curse frequently tend to have higher IQs than their less profane counterparts. Cursing is associated with a love of language and a bigger vocabulary, researchers said.
The New York Times, after a federal judge dismissed Sarah Palin’s defamation lawsuit against the newspaper. Judge Jed Rakoff said the Times erred in an editorial that linked a graphic Palin published to the shooting of U.S. Rep. Gabby Giffords, but that editors quickly corrected the mistake and showed no “malice.”
