▪ Chicago Cubs legend Sammy Sosa sent socialmedia into a meltdown after the Dominican-born slugger was pictured with decidedly whiter skin. Sosa, 49, previously admitted to using a skin-bleaching cream back in 2009, when he was spotted with a much lighter complexion. “It’s aheir concern. “[I don’t know] what Sammy Sosa is going thru at this point in his life,” tweeted one, “but this picture is terrifying.”
▪ Louis C.K. is stepping back from comedy after admitting to engaging in sexual misconduct with five women, several of whom accused the star of masturbating in front of them. In a New York Times exposé, three female comedians, a writer, and a fifth anonymous woman all deson during his stand-up shows, while the distributor of his new film, I Love You, Daddy, put the movie’s imminent release on hold. “These stories are true,” Louis C.K. subsequently admitted of the women’s accounts, saying that he had wielded his power over the women irresponsibly. “I will now step back and take a long time to listen.”
▪ O.J. Simpson has been banned from a Las Vegas hotel, mere weeks into his parole from a Nevada prison after serving nine years for armed robbery. Staff at the Cosmopolitan hotel told TMZ.com that Simpson received a trespass notice after getting wasted and unruly at the hotel’s Clique bar, an incident that involved a broken glass. Simpson’s lawyer confirmed the ban but denied the reports of drunken behavior— saying that Simpson passed drug and alcohol tests the next day. He said the hotel did not give Simpson a reason for the ban.
