The latest Tom Cruise thriller “really deserves to be on a double bill with Top Gun,” said The Boston Globe. A fact-based romp about a pilot who lived high in the ’80s by smuggling drugs and guns, it suggests the true costs of the era’s hedonism but plays as “pop art with concealed teeth.”
