It must be true…
I read it in the tabloids
A Colorado dad ate an entire bowl of suspiciously stale-tasting cereal—only to discover after he finished it that it was 21 years old. Josiah Carelse bought the box of Quaker granola cereal at a Walmart last week and said he noticed it had a “funny” taste. But he kept eating and then inspected the box. The granola’s sell-by date was Feb. 22, 1997. “I was not born yet,” said his daughter, Layla. “I’m only 11.” Carelse said he felt fine after eating the ancient oats; Walmart is looking into the incident.
Japanese farmers can now scare off wild boar and deer with a terrifying robotic wolf that moves and howls. The 20-inch-tall Super Monster Wolf has sharp teeth, fake fur, and motion sensors that detect approaching animals, causing the robot to move toward them, flash its red, satanic eyes, and unleash a primal howl. Crop losses noticeably decreased when the mechanical wolf—which will sell for $4,840—was tested in the field, says the Japan Agricultural Cooperative. Boar take one look at the beast, said robot maker Yuji Ota, and think, “There is a natural enemy.”
A Chinese toddler locked his mom’s iPhone for 47 years by repeatedly entering the wrong passcode. The woman said that after she left the phone home with her son, she returned to find that he’d tapped an incorrect passcode into the device so many times that it had been disabled for 25 million minutes. Apple store workers told her she would either have to wait to unlock the phone or else reboot it, erasing all of the data. She opted for the latter, explaining, “I couldn’t wait for 47 years and tell my grandchild it was your father’s mistake.”
