Hotel of the week
The Berkshires just keep getting ritzier, said Anthony Flint in The Boston Globe. Blantyre, an estate dominated by a redbrick 1902 Tudor mansion, has emerged from a major renovation to deliver luxury that “goes well beyond high thread counts and farm-to-table dining.” The new Blantyre has, for example, a grand piano in the great room and an “exquisite” 10,000-bottle wine cellar and tasting room. “Walking around the grounds discovering strategically placed hammocks, sculptures, and nature trails, one can imagine what it was like to be an invited summertime guest 100 years ago.”
