Cider: The New York boom
Aaron Burr Cider ($15–$22). Andy Crown Brennan makes his Homestead Locational Ciders by foraging unidentified apple varieties in rural Sullivan County. Though each brew is different, all would “go beautifully” with a harvest dinner.
Floral Terranes ($13–$21). Foraging on Long Island from similar trees, Erik Longabardi is producing a line of “rich, luscious” still ciders.
Orchard Hill ($12–$26). This Hudson Valley cidery sells two sparkling ciders, including the “gently sweet but well-balanced and refreshing” Gold Label. ■
