Hotel of the week
This tranquil farm in the lush hills of Trelawny Parish is “far from the Jamaica we know,” said Diane Bair and Pamela Wright in The Boston Globe. A former sugarcane plantation, Pantrepant has just one two-bedroom guesthouse that’s now available to anyone staying at Strawberry Hill, Goldeneye, or any of the other resorts owned by Island Records founder Chris Blackwell. “There are things to do here, if you must.” During our stay, though, we mostly just lounged in the shade of a 300-year-old guango tree and swam in the farm’s “impossibly clear” lagoon, which is fed by a sparkling waterfall.
