It must be true…
I read it in the tabloids
A vegan bride-to-be disinvited all the guests from her wedding who refused to give up meat for the rest of their lives. In a now-viral Facebook post to the group “Vegan Revolution,” the 20-year-old woman explained that among those she eliminated from her guest list were her mother and two cousins who were to act as bridesmaids. “We don’t want to host murderers,” she said. “Our wedding is supposed to be one of the happiest days of our lives.”
A Vietnamese hairstylist is marking this week’s peace summit in Hanoi by dispensing free Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un haircuts. Le Tuan Duong said his tonsorial giveaway is his special method of welcoming the summit and showing “Hanoi is a city of peace.” He explained that Kim’s style reflects youth, while Trump’s portrays power. “But Kim’s style,” he added, “is a lot more popular among customers.”
A Kentucky husband bungled Valentine’s Day by giving his wife a bucket of turnips, rather than the tulips she had requested. Nina Harris said that on the eve of the romantic holiday, she told Allan exactly what she wanted, but “he wasn’t paying attention. He just said, ‘Yes, I know.’” The following morning, she added, “When I got up, I had my first cup of coffee, and he said, ‘Oh, your turnips are here!’ And I said, ‘Turnips?’” Allan then handed Nina a bucket filled with the root vegetables with the words “I love you” stenciled on it. After Nina informed him of his mistake, the remorseful Allan supplemented the turnips with actual tulips, as well as candy and balloons.
