Judge Maryanne Trump Barry—President Trump’s older sister—has retired from the U.S. Court of Appeals, ending an investigation into whether she violated judicial conduct rules by participating in fraudulent schemes along with her siblings to dodge estate and gift taxes on Fred Trump’s wealth. Retired judges are immune from judicial misconduct proceedings.

“Active-shooter” incidents around the U.S. fell slightly last year, but remained at the second-highest level since 2000, the FBI said.
