President Trump claims he hires temporary foreign workers at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida because Americans don’t want the jobs. But government records show that at least 58 U.S. workers applied for such jobs at Mar-a-Lago from 2014 to 2018—and only one was hired. The resort relies on temporary foreign workers brought into the country under the H-2B visa program.
Hispanic-Americans’ voter participation rates surged by 50 percent in the 2018 midterm elections over the previous midterms in 2014. In 2018, 40 percent of Hispanics turned out, helping fuel Democratic victories.
