Now that his divorce has been finalized, Jeff Bezos plans to wed girlfriend Lauren Sanchez, the New York Post reports. The Amazon CEO, 55, and Sanchez, 49, have been taking in shows and having romantic dinners in New York City; on July 4, Sanchez, a pilot, even took her guy for a helicopter ride over the city. A source tells the Post that it’s likely the couple will “sneak off” and get married in the near future. “It will be something to mark their love and everything they’ve gone through to be together,” the source said. Last week, a Washington judge signed off on Bezos’ divorce agreement with MacKenzie Bezos, 49. She agreed to take 19.7 million shares valued at $38.3 billion, making her the world’s 22nd-wealthiest person, according to Bloomberg.com. Her ex retains 12 percent of Amazon and his status as the world’s wealthiest man, with his Amazon stake now worth about $115 billion.
Anderson Cooper won’t inherit a fortune from his late heiress mother, Gloria Vanderbilt, who died in June at age 95. Vanderbilt left her eldest son, Leopold Stokowski, her $1.2 million Manhattan apartment, and the rest of her property to Cooper, according to her will. Yet documents filed after Vanderbilt’s death reveal her estate is worth less than $1.5 million, the New York Post reported this week. Born into one of the country’s richest families, Vanderbilt built a denim empire in the 1970s reportedly worth $100 million, but she spent and donated lavishly, and ran into troubles with the IRS. Cooper won’t starve: CNN pays him $12 million annually.
Upon getting dumped last week by his girlfriend, Ivana Trump, Italian actor Rossano Rubicondi offered a parting shot for her adult sons. “Don Jr. is an idiot. He is a jerk,” Rubicondi said, adding that Don and his brother Eric are “garbage.” Married in a 2008 ceremony hosted by Ivana’s ex-husband Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago estate, Rubicondi and Trump divorced a year later but soon reunited. Yet when Ivana, 70, broke up again with Rubicondi, 47, he revealed his long-standing feud with her sons, reportedly over financial matters. “We are talking about kids who are so stupid—except Ivanka,” he said.
