Hotel of the week
South of Athens
The buzz about this renovated resort should come as no surprise, said Rebecca Rose in the Financial Times. Since it opened in the 1960s until it changed hands a few years ago, Astir Palace had been “the It Girl of the Athenian Riviera.” At a glance, Greece’s first Four Seasons property looks unchanged, but the interiors “have been redone completely—to let in more light, and more Greekness.” The hotel has become more family-friendly too, and though it’s just 30 minutes from the Athens airport, its peninsula setting is “a match for any of the chic island resorts.”
