It must be true…
I read it in the tabloids
Someone keeps leaving sacks of cash around a British village. At least a dozen times over the past five years, a bundle containing 2,000 pounds (about $2,570) has been discovered in plain sight in Blackhall Colliery. Police have tried to figure out who is leaving the money and why, but have gotten nowhere despite an investigation that involved fingerprinting and numerous interviews. Residents speculate that the donor either feels guilt over some past misdeed or is simply a Good Samaritan who hopes to help people make ends meet. “Well done to that kind soul,” said resident Gary Storey.
An abandoned puppy born with a tail growing from its forehead has become a social media phenomenon. Staff at a rescue center in Missouri dubbed the dog “Narwhal the Little Magical Furry Unicorn,” and he has gained a huge Facebook following. In response to queries about whether the tail wags, the center responded: “The extra tail is not connected to anything and has no real use other than making him the COOLEST PUPPY EVER.” Fans are predicting “the longest adoption line in history.”
Three cows that Hurricane Dorian swept out to sea from the Outer Banks have been discovered living on a nearby island. After being hit with a 9-foot wall of water on Cedar Island, the bovine trio apparently swam several miles across North Carolina’s Core Sound to Cape Lookout National Seashore park. B.G Horvat, a spokesman for the park, said the valiant cattle “appear to have a bond.” “If the cows could talk,” Horvat said, “imagine the story they can tell you of enduring that rush of water.” ■
