It must be true…
I read it in the tabloids
Residents of Lake Worth Beach, Fla., called 911 when they heard chilling screeches from a neighbor’s house: “Let me out! Let me out! Ohhh!” Four sheriff’s deputies arrived to find a man calmly working on a car in the driveway, who said he’d introduce them to the screamer. “I promptly introduced the officers to Rambo,” said the man of his 40-year-old parrot. “We all had a good laugh,” the unnamed man said.
A Los Angeles model raised more than $500,000 for Australian wildfire victims by offering nude selfies in exchange for proof of a $10 donation. Kaylen Ward, 20, made her self-pledge on Instagram on Jan. 3 under the name “The Naked Philanthropist” and was soon deluged with 50,000 charitable receipts made to accredited charities. But her amazing success also had unintended consequences when her family and boyfriend saw her online pledge. “My family disowned me, and the guy I like won’t talk to me,” she said. “But f--- it, save the koalas.”
Police in the Atlanta area are still searching for the man who broke into a Taco Bell on Christmas morning, cooked himself a meal, and then took a nap “for a substantial amount of time.” Surveillance footage from inside the fast-food shop shows the crook climbing through the drive-through window shortly after midnight, using the fryer to prepare a meal, and then curling up for a snooze on the tiled floor. Police said the intruder was inside the restaurant for about three hours and left with a laptop, a tablet—and presumably a full stomach. ■
