Hours after the Senate voted not to hear new witnesses or evidence in President Trump’s impeachment trial, the administration revealed in court papers the existence of 24 emails that shed light on “presidential decision-making about the scope, duration, and purpose of the hold on military assistance to Ukraine.” Administration lawyers argued that the emails are protected by “presidential privilege.”

U.S. border officials have discovered a tunnel over three-quarters of a mile long from Tijuana, Mexico, to San Diego. The tunnel had a rail track, electricity, and a ventilation system. Border agents have found more than 200 tunnels since 2003, but this is the longest ever.
