House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) announced Tuesday that Democrats had reached a deal with the White House and were officially endorsing the USMCA trade deal. It would've been a glowing example of bipartisanship if Pelosi hadn't walked to this 10 a.m. press conference from one at 9 a.m. where she announced articles of impeachment against President Trump.

Democrats and The White House have been in talks for months to create a replacement for the North American Free Trade Agreement, which has effectively gone defunct amid Trump's criticism. And after it was endorsed Monday by the AFL-CIO's leader, Pelosi emphasized it was more of a "victory for the American worker" than for Trump.

Trump also praised the USMCA as "the best and most important trade deal ever made by the USA" in a tweet just ahead of the conference — and then went on a rant about the impeachment announcement Pelosi had just made. Pelosi put it best in her USMCA conference when asked about the "whiplash" morning: "The day is young." Kathryn Krawczyk
