Ronny Jackson, President Trump's onetime pick to run the Department of Veterans Affairs, will not return to his job as the White House physician, two senior administration officials told Politico on Sunday.

Jackson, a Navy rear admiral, decided last week to withdraw his nomination after several current and former colleagues accused him of being drunk on the job, improperly dispensing pills, and creating a hostile work environment; he denied the allegations. Jackson is back working in the White House medical unit, and The Washington Post reports he'll stay on staff, but administration officials say that Sean Conley, a Navy officer who took over as Trump's personal doctor last month, will remain in the role.
