A new CNN/ORC poll released Wednesday revealed that half of Americans believe Hillary Clinton represents the future more than any other potential 2016 presidential candidate. But that number isn't the whole story: While 50 percent of respondents said Clinton "represents the future," 48 percent of respondents said she "represents the past."
The survey polled 1,027 adults from Feb. 12-15 and asked respondents whether seven potential 2016 presidential candidates represent the future or the past. Sixty-four percent of respondents said that Vice President Joe Biden (D) and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R) represent the past.
Women were more likely to view Clinton as representing the future — 55 percent of women agreed with the sentiment, while 53 percent of men said Clinton represents the past.
