According to unofficial sources originally quoted in the Daily Mail, Daniel Craig's days of fictional espionage might be numbered. The sources say the actor has declined to reprise his role as James Bond in future installments of the franchise, despite being offered the equivalent of almost $100 million (£68 million) to star in the series' next two films.

“Daniel is done — pure and simple," one L.A. film source said, adding that Craig had told people SPECTRE would be his final performance after the movie finished shooting, though production company MGM hopes a lucrative offer might entice him back.
