Ex-aide to Jeb Bush says he 'misheard the question' about invading Iraq
At least, that's what he's claiming in personal emails. Ana Navarro, a former aide to Jeb Bush while he was governor of Florida, appeared on CNN's New Day on Tuesday morning and said that she was so puzzled by the presumptive GOP presidential candidate's answer to a question about the Iraq War — Bush, asked by Fox News host Megyn Kelly whether he would've supported invading Iraq "knowing what we know now," answered yes — that she emailed her former boss to ask him if he misheard the question. Navarro said she wasn't sure whether Bush would make any sort of clarifying statement about the much-maligned remark. He came under heavy criticism for the comment from both sides of the aisle, given that the decision to invade Iraq is largely considered to have been a mistake.
