Surveillance footage captures the moment when a high-speed train in Northern Spain veers off the rails, killing 78

On Wednesday night, a high-speed train derailed near the northern Spanish town of Santiago de Compostela, killing at least 78 passengers and injuring at least 130 others. It is one of the worst rail disasters in European history. Spanish newspaper El País obtained footage of the crash from a security camera. (Watch above)
It looks like the train was traveling around a corner at a dangerously high speed — according to El País, one of the drivers said the train hit the bend at about 120 miles per hour. That's reportedly more than twice the speed the train was supposed to be traveling. One of the train's two drivers is under formal investigation, Reuters reports.
