Best websites that explain the economy
These economic and financial sites are run by Bill McBride, Barry Ritholtz, and Charles Davi.
Calculatedriskblog.com is run by Bill McBride, a retired technology executive. Though his expertise is mortgages and housing—his blog predicted the market’s crash back in 2005—his site has become a “must-read” for anyone who wants “the clearest picture” of the economy.
Ritholtz.com, also known as The Big Picture, was created by Barry Ritholtz, a financial pundit and author of Bailout Nation. He’s recruited some of the industry’s most “intelligent, independent thinkers on finance” to give financial advice.
Derivativedribble.wordpress.com collects independent analyst Charles Davi’s posts on the financial world. Davi largely focuses on dispelling myths about the complex financial products known as derivatives, which Warren Buffett has referred to as “financial weapons of mass destruction.”
