Pick a site. Hone in on a specific site by typing, for example, “site:theweek.com.” To limit searches to school or government domains, add “site:edu” or “site:gov.” To locate specific kinds of documents, add a file extension such as “filetype:pdf.”
Take a number. Include a numerical range with queries when possible. Results can easily be narrowed by placing two periods between the numbers—say, “Christmas movies 1998..2008” or “wool coats $200..$300.”
