London's Metropolitan Police arrested Julian Assange in Ecuador's London embassy on Thursday morning, and CNN obtained video of Assange being dragged into police custody. The two obvious things from the footage are that the WikiLeaks founder did not go willingly, and he looks different.
"Look at him, the beard," said John Berman, cohost of CNN's New Day. "He looks like, you know, Rip Van Winkle," agreed cohost Alisyn Camerota. "He has aged more than seven years since he's been in there." "He is not walking out voluntarily, he is shouting, which just shows you his position in the world," Berman said. "To an extent, it is the governments of the world, minus Russia, versus Julian Assange."
