He began his career covering local news before joining Newsweek as a breaking news reporter, where he wrote about politics, national and global affairs, business, crime, sports, film, television and a variety of general news. He has also covered film, television and entertainment news as a freelancer for Collider and United Press International. He has helmed live-blog coverage of the war in Ukraine, interviewed the courtroom artist for the Ghislaine Maxwell trial and once received a single-word statement from director Spike Lee. His reporting has been cited in a variety of outlets including "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert."
