Sen. Lindsey Graham on 2016: 'I'm running'

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) on Monday appeared to preempt his own 2016 announcement, telling CBS he was running for president even as he continues to publicly say he remains on the fence.

"I'm running because I think the world is falling apart," Graham said on CBS This Morning.

At the same time, though, Graham played coy about his presumed pending campaign announcement, saying he would announce his 2016 intentions at a June 1 event in South Carolina.

"You're all invited to come, spend money when you do, and I will tell you what I'm going to do about running for president," Graham said.

In January, Graham established a committee to explore a presidential bid. He consistently polls toward the back of the pack in hypothetical GOP primary polls.
