Lin-Manuel Miranda just won a Pulitzer Prize for Hamilton

Lin-Manuel Miranda, the creator and star of Broadway's hit musical Hamilton, won a Pulitzer Prize for drama Monday. The show, which features rap-battling founding fathers played by people of color, debuted on Broadway in August. Miranda was just a tad excited to hear the news:

Others in the list of Pulitzer winners announced include The New Yorker's Emily Nussbaum for criticism, Joby Warrick for his non-fiction work Black Flags: The Rise of ISIS, and a joint Marshall Project-ProPublica team for explanatory journalism documenting the search for a serial rapist.
