By just about any measure, Sen. Ted Cruz had a terrible election night on Tuesday. It was already nearly mathematically impossible for him to win a majority of delegates before the Republican convention, and after he lost all five states on Tuesday by huge margins, it would take a meltdown of unprecedented proportions by Donald Trump for Cruz to win the nomination.
