Former House Speaker Dennis Hastert will appear in federal court Wednesday to learn his sentence for breaking federal banking rules in an attempt to cover up his sexual abuse of high school wrestlers when he was a coach decades ago. Hastert pleaded guilty in October to the felony bank fraud charges, which can carry up to five years in prison. Hastert's attorneys have asked that he be given probation, citing the stroke he suffered in November. Prosecutors allege he sexually abused at least four boys, but he has not been charged because of the statutes of limitations.
