'Sexy MP' website is Parliament's most popular banned site
MPs, peers and parliamentary staff tried to view the blocked 'adult' site almost half a million times
A website which ranks MPs in order of their attractiveness has become the most popular banned website in Parliament, the Daily Telegraph reports.
SexyMP.co.uk was accessed almost half a million times on parliamentary computers last year, despite being blocked by filters designed to prevent access to "adult" web sites. Of those attempts, 52,786 were successful.
The data covers both the House of Commons and the House of Lords and was released following a request to Parliament information unit under the Freedom of Information Act.

The website was set up by Made in Chelsea star and diamond mining heir Francis Boulle, who calls his invention a "fun and memorable tool to help the British public get to know their MPs."
He also adds: "Although I fully expect this to offend some people, this was never my intention and I hope you will see the funny side."
When it launched in 2011, Steve Brine, Tory MP for Winchester, said: "The results on sexymp.co.uk released today are causing great amusement in Westminster. Heaven help us all."
Tory MP Owen Paterson is currently the highest ranked male politician on the site and fellow Conservative Elizabeth Truss received the most votes among the women.
A government spokesperson said some were able to access such sites because filters had not been properly applied to some connections, but that the problem has now been rectified.
The second most popular banned website was Urban Dictionary, which provides users with definitions for slang words.
