Cult cinema is colonizing our small screens. A month after director Robert Rodriguez unveiled a From Dusk Till Dawn series, the Coen brothers are rolling out a 10-episode spin-off of their landmark 1996 black comedy. Back are the frigid landscapes and Scandinavian-inflected “you betchas.” New are the characters and story. Martin Freeman plays Lester Nygaard, a put-upon North Dakota insurance salesman whose world is upended when a con man, played by Billy Bob Thornton, gets in his ear. Aw geez, it’s good. Tuesday, April 15, at 10 p.m., FX
