The second season of this now-great Julia Louis-Dreyfus comedy offered “a master class in how tweaks can transform a series,” said The New Yorker. America’s first female vice president remained “solipsistic and status-obsessed,” but the star made the character far more charismatic.

There’s “great and terrible pleasure” to be had in watching Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts go at each other as a feuding mother and daughter, said The Miami Herald. If only this adaptation of a Tracy Letts play hadn’t taken a hopeful turn: In truth, “you’re supposed to be devastated.”

This “shrewdly” chosen four-pack truly delivers the best films Humphrey Bogart ever made, said the Newark, N.J., Star-Ledger. The Maltese Falcon, Casablanca, The African Queen, and The Treasure of the Sierra Madre are all here in Blu-ray, while “generous” extras fill out the set.
