Show of the week: Toy Story of Terror
Disney’s Pixar has brought back the Toy Story gang for a holiday special on Halloween.
Who says we have to be content this Halloween with yet another viewing of It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown? Reviving the lost art of the animated holiday special, Disney’s Pixar has brought back Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and the whole Toy Story gang for a half-hour side project. The toys are heading to grandma’s house when Mr. Potato Head goes missing at a roadside motel, triggering a mystery that cleverly mixes horror-film allusions with kid-friendly laughs. Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack, and others reprise their voice roles. Wednesday, Oct. 16, at 8 p.m., ABC
