The daily gossip: Justin Bieber got a terrifying tattoo of his mother's eye, and more
5 top pieces of celebrity gossip — from Jay Z's minor name change to Jason Sudeikis' weight-loss advice
1. Justin Bieber got a terrifying tattoo of his mom's eye on his arm
In addition to bland pop music and the world's smuggest Twitter account, Justin Bieber is noted for his wide assortment of tattoos, which include a knight, an owl, and a bunch of other things he'll regret when he's 25. But the pop star's latest is sure to raise a few eyebrows: A terrifying and eternally unblinking re-creation of his mother's eye on his inner arm, which he unveiled on his Instagram account with the message "Mom's always watching." It's like Nietzsche said: When you gaze into the Biebs, the Biebs gazes also into you. [New York Post]

2. The Queen left a cricket match early, so Kate Middleton must be in labor
Is Kate Middleton in labor? That's the speculation at E! Online, which leapt to the almost entirely baseless conclusion when soon-to-be-grandmother Queen Elizabeth II left an outdoor cricket match after staying for one measly hour. "Has Kate Middleton gone into labor?" asked the site, before admitting that it doesn't really have any idea why the Queen left the match. Our guess: She suddenly realized that cricket is boring. [E! Like Prince and Snoop Dogg before him, Jay-Z has mounted a late-career name change — albeit a change so subtle that almost nobody noticed it. The artist formerly known as Jay-Z now goes by Jay Z, and as Complex notes, this isn't the first time Jay has shaken up the punctuation of his name, which was originally written with an umlaut over the "Y". So just to be safe, you might want to set a Google Alert for Jăy Z now. [Complex]

4. Jason Sudeikis' weight loss routine includes not eating pizza, having sex with Olivia Wilde
For anyone who wants to get as trim as Saturday Night Live's Jason Sudeikis, he has two key pieces of advice — and since having sex with his fiancée Olivia Wilde is probably off the table, you'll have to go with the second one. "A lot of it comes from tiny things, like not eating barbecue sauce with my pizza at two in the morning," says Sudeikis. "I think it's all a manifestation of being happy and wanting to treat myself well." Though not eating pizza at two in the morning sounds like treating yourself badly to us. [Us Weekly]
