Jamie Foxx is getting heat for supposedly racist remarks he made at the NAACP Image Awards last week. In a fit of enthusiasm over all the stars assembled there, the Django Unchained star announced that black people are “the most talented people in the world.” He continued, “I can’t explain it. You can’t sit in this room and not watch Gladys Knight sing and go like, ‘Golly, what in the world?’” Conservative commentators said Foxx’s remarks were racist. If a white actor had said the same thing about white people, said a blogger on the conservative website NewsBusters.org, it would “probably be the end of his or her career.”
