Gossip: Justin Bieber
Justin Bieber’s attempt to upstage the Grammy Awards ended in embarrassing failure.
Justin Bieber’s attempt to upstage the Grammy Awards ended in embarrassing failure this week. The teen idol did not attend the awards ceremony after failing to receive a single nomination, deciding instead to give an online performance to his fans at the exact same time. But technical issues forced the 18-year-old to cancel the livestream soon after it was supposed to begin. At least one of Bieber’s fans is still stung by the Grammy snub—his mother, Pattie Mallette. “I think they blew it,” she said. “I just heard that he’s now had five No. 1 albums, so I think his music is speaking for itself.”
