Kennedy. Through interviews with family as well as home movies and news clips, the filmmaker shows her mother to be an unassuming but indomitable woman who’s become an avid advocate of her husband’s legacy. Late in an extraordinary life, Ethel advises, “Have your wits about you and dig in. Do what you can, because it might not last.” Thursday, Oct. 18, at 9 p.m., HBO
