The new CliC Gold Sport “brings the jewelry and optical worlds together.” Made by the same company that created the most expensive reading glasses on earth, these 18-karat, solid-gold sports sunglasses are literally handmade, with each pair requiring roughly 40 hours of handwork by a master jeweler. The frame features a magnetic front-connection system so that the glasses will never just slip off, and the lenses are treated with a Carl Zeiss Super ET, anti-reflective, scratch-resistant coating. Only 100 pairs will be made—because the company is targeting, in the designer’s words, “the most influential people in the world.”
