Rihanna and ex-boyfriend Chris Brown have reunited in the studio, said the New York Post. In a surprising move, the former couple released two new songs, which they recorded together, on the Internet this week. The songs, titled “Birthday Cake” and “Turn Up the Music,” come three years after Brown was convicted of assault for beating Rihanna during an argument before a Grammy party. Earlier in the week, Brown, whose career has resurged despite negative publicity in the wake of the domestic violence case, caused a stir when he wished Rihanna a happy birthday on Twitter. Brown is currently serving five years’ probation following a guilty plea in 2009.
