Kids angling to launch NASCAR careers push their go-karts to speeds up to 70 mph in the heart-pounding races captured by this engaging documentary. Oscar-nominated director Marshall Curry chronicles a year in the lives of three young competitors: Annabeth, 11, is the most conflicted about her future; Josh, 12, is all focus and good grades; and Brandon, 13, has “no fear; he’s wide open,” says his grandmother.
