Gossip: M.I.A., Madonna
While performing with Madonna during the Super Bowl halftime, M.I.A. extended her middle finger.
It wasn’t a wardrobe malfunction, but M.I.A. has stirred up another Super Bowl halftime controversy, said RadarOnline.com. While performing with Madonna, the rapper, 36, extended her middle finger while appearing to sing the words “I don’t give a s---,” though the word was not heard during the broadcast. The NFL and NBC both issued apologies. “The obscene gesture in the performance was completely inappropriate, very disappointing, and we apologize to our fans,” said an NFL spokesman.
