Reeling and dealing at Wheel of Fortune
Pat Sajak has admitted that in the early days of Wheel of Fortune, he and co-host Vanna White would frequently perform drunk. The game-show host turned conservative commentator, now 65, says that he and White would often spend their two-and-a-half-hour dinner breaks between tapings at a Mexican restaurant in Burbank that served terrific margaritas. “Vanna and I would go across and have two or three or six,’’ Sajak says. Lady Gaga’s boyfriend has asked her to be more ordinary. Gaga, 25, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, has been dating actor Taylor Kinney for six months. During that time, sources say, she has committed even more fully to her outrageous, avant-garde persona, even when not performing, prompting Kinney to beg for normalcy. “Gaga started living and breathing her character 24/7 because she felt her fans wanted that,” said a source, but “Taylor has convinced her that he loves the real Stefani.”
Baby boy gets ahold of a snake
A woman in Israel was horrified to discover her infant son calmly chewing the head off a snake. “I was making his milk and looked over and saw he had a snake in his mouth,” said Ghadir Aleeyan, mother of 13-month-old Imad. “I started to scream. I couldn’t believe my eyes.” Her screams drew neighbors, who pulled the foot-long snake out of Imad’s mouth and killed it. Imad only has six teeth, but the reptile’s head was described as “very badly chewed.”
