Gossip: Amy Winehouse
The British tabloids are rife with speculation about the singer's last few days.
Rumors swirled in the British tabloids this week regarding Amy Winehouse’s last days. The London Sun reported that the singer had gotten engaged to her boyfriend, film director Reg Traviss, just two weeks before her July 23 death. The London Daily Mirror, meanwhile, reported that Winehouse had been planning to adopt a 10-year-old girl from St. Lucia. A rep for the singer later denied the claim. The Mirror also interviewed a “fixer” who says he helped Winehouse buy crack cocaine and heroin the night before she died. Officials are awaiting results of a toxicology report following an inconclusive autopsy performed on July 25.
