Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe revealed this week that he has been struggling with alcohol dependency for several years. The actor, 21, told GQ that he began drinking whiskey on the set of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince when he was 18, and that he had to give up drinking altogether because it was taking over his life. “I became so reliant on [alcohol] to enjoy stuff,” said Radcliffe. “There were a few years there when I was just so enamored with the idea of living some sort of famous person’s lifestyle that really isn’t suited to me.”
